Kapalua Ridge Villas Real Estate & Information

Hawaii has long been an incredibly desirable place to live due to its absolutely gorgeous scenic views. Visitors will be hard pressed to find an island in Hawaii that could be considered mundane. However, there are a few spots that have attracted people the world over, such as Maui. Maui has for years been one of the most popular destinations, and it should come as no surprise that anyone looking to buy real estate in Hawaii often looks at Maui first. In fact, those that are seeking to purchase real estate in Maui should be sure to check out Kapalua, which is located on the western coast of Maui. This stunning community is small - according to the 2010 census, the population was only 353 - which means that residents are able to relax in peace and quiet, away from some of the more touristy spots in Maui. One area in Kapalua that buyers will want to consider are the Kapalua Ridge Villas. These condominiums are situated on a promontory that overlooks the Oneloa Bay. Residents living in these condominiums are treated to daily views of the ocean horizon and the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. The Kapalua Ridge Villas are low-rise buildings that contain five or six condominiums designed with both luxury and privacy in mind. There are a total of 161 units.

Shopping and Dining

Residents of the Kapalua Ridge Villas have plenty of options when it comes to dining out at restaurants in the area. Not only are there a handful of fantastic restaurants in Kapalua, residents will be able to take a short drive south to the slightly more populated Lahaina for even more choices. However, for those looking to stay close to home, there are several local favorites to try out. Anyone in the mood for sushi won’t have much trouble finding a sushi spot - Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Alaloa Lounge and Kai Sushi are both highly regarded. For an upscale Asian fusion experience, go to The Banyan Tree. For delicious seafood and more traditional American fare, drop in at The Beach House. Some of the restaurants in Lahaina worth driving to include Iron Imu BBQ Company, Star noodle, Kimo’s and Local Food. There are even a few food trucks worth tracking down, such as Ono Tacos and the Shark Pit Maui.

Residents also have an assortment of shopping choices located in and around Kapalua, such as the Whalers Village shopping center, The Outlets of Maui, the Malibu Shirts consignment shop, the Times Supermarket and the West Maui Sports & Fishing Supply store, just to name a few.

Parks and Recreation

Residents living at the Kapalua Ridge Villas have the opportunity to take advantage of the many amenities provided to them by the community. The Ridge Villas boast a recreational area that includes two swimming pools, barbecue facilities and a rec room. Going for an early morning jog on the beach or taking a weekend afternoon dip in the ocean take little effort since residents are only a short walk away from the beaches of Oneloa Bay as well as the Coastal Trail System. The Coastal Trail System is perfect for anyone that enjoys hiking through nature as it consists of numerous walking trails that extend from the ocean up into the West Maui Mountains. The trails vary in difficulty, making them a great recreational option for both casual hikers and more experienced hikers. Golf enthusiasts will be happy to know that there are a number of nearby golf courses as well, such as the Kapalua Bay Golf Course, which has hosted more than 20 professional tournaments since it opened in 1975.

Kapalua has a very low unemployment rate according to data that was collected in 2012, and it most likely hasn’t changed much since that time.
